"2024 Year of Yannis Kefalas"

The year 2024 started very creatively for the Museum of Traditional Musical Instruments Research & Documentation of Thyrathen, both with the new space in Heraklion, Crete and with all the actions that are being implemented, but at the same time quite unexpectedly since a good friend of the Museum passed away.

So the Board of the Museum decided to name the year 2024 "Yiannis Kefala year" as a small tribute to a man who served the Music culture of the place to the greatest extent even though he left us early.
