On Thursday, 10/25, the presentation of the documentary titled "The Art of the Mandolin in Crete #2" took place at thirathenn Museum of Traditional Instruments of Research and Documentation.
The event was a complete success as a large number of people came to the Museum to watch the documentary. As the artistic director Grigoris Pitsikakis pointed out, the purpose and goal of the museum is to do similar work for the musical instruments first of Crete and then of Greece.
It is worth noting that Mr. Evripidis Koukiadakis, Deputy Regional Governor of Heraklion, and Mr. Kostas Fasoulakis, Deputy Regional Governor for Culture and Diaspora Hellenism, were honored with their presence.
The second part of the documentary includes interviews with great instrument makers of the Cretan mandolin as well as connoisseurs of Cretan music.
