The musical duo Boforia was created in the summer of 2023 in Crete. Yiannis Linardakis on the Cretan lute and Avgerini Gatsi on the piano and the new, having assimilated the sound from the Greek tradition, folk music - and not only - they perform in a fairly free manner in performance that leaves room for improvisation, addition and removing harmony while maintaining the primary verse and rhythm. Tropical melodies converse unpredictably with western harmony. The ecstatic sound of the lute treads on the folk piano environment and the two musicians deconstruct the familiar forms and roles that characterize them in a fresh partnership that is constantly evolving .
